76 Freed Minors Return To Rousing Welcome In Kano

KANO – 76 freed minors hitherto detained in Abuja for their alleged role in the EndBadGovernance nationwide protest walked to a rousing welcome at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Tuesday night.
The contingent arrived the city in company of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf aboard Max aircraft around 9:57 pm to the waiting hands of top government officials, relations, and well-wishers.
Tears of joy rolled down the cheeks of many at the airport as the visibly malnourished underage disembarked from the jumbo jet, with intermittent chorus of Allahu Akbar (God is the Greatest) rented the air.

The 76 minors were move into a waiting luxury bus for 35 minutes journey to Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital tucked in the sleepy quarters of Giginyu quaters located within the precinct of DSS headquarters in the city.
Governor Yusuf on the other hands was conveyed in an 18 seater SUV Bus in company of his Deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Alhaji Isma’ila Falgore, several key state officials, and other prominent figures.
Hundred of youths mounted a vigil at strategic corridors to welcome the governor back home.
A huge, but orderly crowd took over a straight leading to the hospital chanting “Kano, sai Abba” , as the governor stopped to acknowledged their cheer dead mid night.
On arrival at the hospital, a team of medical professionals already on standby evaluate the children’s physical and mental well-being, and were subsequently put on admission.
However, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and his entourage left the health facility around 12:46 am to Government House.
