As the members of the Muslim community in Ile-Ife tropped out in multitude to mark the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan as the usual gathering of the Islamic faithful unfolded at the Palace of the Arole Oodua, Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi,CFR, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, led by the Chief Imam of Ife. In a poignant display of unity and celebrations, devout Muslims congregated to offer prayers for His Majesty and for the prosperity of Ife as a whole.
Amidst the solemnity of the occasion, Ooni Ogunwusi as seized the opportunity to address the nation, emphasizing the paramount importance of love, unity, and peace.
“Nobody knows what anybody will become in life,” he remarked.
Ooni Ogunwusi who doubles as Co-Chairman, National Council Of Traditional Rulers Of Nigeria NCTRN urged Nigerians and Muslim faithfuls not to underestimate the importance of mutual love and respect. He Reflected on the profound tradition of Muslim burial rites, he underscoring the universal imperative life characterized by benevolence and compassion towards others.
