Nigerian Army 2 Div Holds Range Classification Training For Basic Battle Course 8

As part of the training requirements for Basic Battle Course 8 of 2024, the 2 Division Training School of the Nigerian Army has begun the range classification exercise.

The exercise, according to a press statement issued and signed by the acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for 2 Division, Lt. Col. Polycarp Okoye is taking place at Major General OF Azinta Shooting Range, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, began on Wednesday and ended on Friday.
Polycarp Okoye, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo State on Friday, said that the exercise aims to test and refresh the students on weapon handling proficiency, as required by the training curriculum.
Okoye thereby enjoined all communities living around Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment not to panic on hearing the sounds of gunshots during this period.
It advised those farming and hunting within the Barracks to avoid the range area throughout the period.

“In view of this, all communities living around Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, are hereby informed not to panic on hearing sounds of gun shots during this period. Accordingly, those farming and hunting within the Barrack are advised to avoid the Range area throughout the period.” Okoye stated.
