Engr. Alao has urged APC members to work for success of the party.

 

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that a prominent gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the last governorship primary, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has urged members of the party in the state to come together in unity to attain victory in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Alao, while speaking at a luncheon with critical stakeholders and leaders of the party, at his Ikolaba GRA, Ibadan residence, restated his commitment to the party, stating that the defeat of the party in Osun State last weekend, should be of concern to all party members and must not be allowed to happen in Oyo State.

Present at the luncheon include Chairman, Governing Board, National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle; Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi; immediate past state Women Leader, Mrs. Mabel Williams; Alhaji Lanre Kazeem; other Progressive leaders and his teeming supporters across the 33 local government areas of the state.

The Asiwaju of Irokoland, maintained that victory for all candidates of the party from the presidential, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; governorship, Senator Teslim Folarin, senatorial, House of Representatives to the House of Assembly, should be the priority of every member in the state, noting that they cannot afford to let down the people of the state who are already waiting for the party to rescue them from the mis-governance of the present government in the state.

He said the crises facing the party were better solved mostly from inside and by insiders, insisting that now is the time for members to reunite for the progress of the party in every part of the state.

According to him, “The essence of this luncheon is not only to wine and dine but to provide an opportunity for us as stakeholders to chart a way forward for the party towards winning the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“I can only appeal to all of us that are aggrieved one way or the other to have a rethink and collectively work for the party such that we would not only deliver victory for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but also win the other elections, governorship, three senatorial seats, 14 House of Representatives seats and the 32 seats in the state House of Assembly.

The stakeholders, leaders and supporters present, praised him for not just remaining committed but working for and spending on the party, describing him as a selfless leader and an uncommon politician of the progressive hue.
