Idris Ajimobi has called for peaceful Co-existence among the Yoruba and Hausa people in his constituency.
Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the APC candidate representing Ibadan south west constituency II in the coming 2023 house of assembly election, Idirs Ajimobi has sued for peace following Sunday’s clash between Hausa and Yoruba people in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
According to report, fracas erupted after Mufutau Sanni, a lottery kiosk operator known as Baba Ijebu, reportedly died after suffering injuries while attempting to settle a rift between an yet to be identified Hausa man and his Yoruba counterpart on MKO Abiola Way, Ring Road Area of Ibadan.
While reacting to the heartbreaking incident through his media aide Lateef Alade, Idris Ajimobi expressed so much sadness over the reported death of Sanni who went to intervene with the intention of resolving the issue involving a Hausa dealer and his client.
Idris however called for calm in the affected area and urged people not to take laws into their hands.
He also thanked the security operatives for their prompt intervention and ensuring peace in the area.
Idris Ajimobi therefore send his condolences to the family of Sanni over his demise and pray that God should comfort the family and God should grant eternal rest for the decease.
