Drama In House Of Reps Floor As Social Media Star VDM Demands Bobrisky’s Presence At EFCC Hearing

ABUJA – The Nigerian’s Federal House of Representatives has threatened to arrest popular social media personality, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), over his refusal to testify before a parliamentary committee regarding allegations he made against Nigerian officials.
This was just as VDM insisted that his lawyer should speak on his behalf and refused to engage further due to the absence of Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, from the hearing.
The ongoing investigation stems from VDM’s claims that Bobrisky alleged officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service demanded N15 million to secure Bobrisky’s placement in the VIP section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre in Lagos.
During the hearing, VDM stated, “I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here.
Bobrisky said in the voice note that there is a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. He has disrespected this committee by not coming here.”
The committee chairman emphasized that VDM was expected to testify on his allegations, stating, “You are not expected to dictate whether Bobrisky is present or not; that is our decision. We can compel him to appear, and if you refuse to honor this sitting, we will invoke our powers to arrest you. You must speak to the allegations you made.”
Despite the committee’s warnings, VDM remained adamant, adding, “If Bobrisky is not here, I will not say anything. If I say anything, let me die.”
The committee has given VDM another opportunity to return and testify or face possible arrest.
