New ICAN Oluyole Chairman Vows All-Inclusive Leadership

IBADAN – The Pioneer Chairman of Oluyole and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Mrs Oluwatoyin Nwadike, has promised to create an inclusive environment for all members to thrive in their profession.
Speaking shortly after her swearing-in Nwadike said her vision is to establish a vibrant, dynamic and impactful district, as well as a knowledge, collaborative and innovation hub.
Nwadike said with the new Oluyole and District Society, members will have a community where they will support and uplift one another.
She acknowledged the collective vision of all members saying together they will build a district that will be unique and an envy of other district societies.
She charged her executive and members to embark on the journey with passion and shared purpose.

“We will ensure our members have access to continuous learning opportunities, workshops, and seminars to stay at the forefront of
their careers and build their MCPD points at minimal or no cost.
“Celebrating the birth of ICAN Oluyole and District Society on this special day a day set aside to celebrate Nigeria’s independence.
“This is no coincidence but a day divinely orchestrated by God. Having navigated the challenging yet rewarding process of forming a new ICAN District Society in Ibadan and being inaugurated on the anniversary day of Nigeria’s Independence,” the pioneer chairman said.
In his welcome address, the 60th ICAN President, Chief Davison Alaribe, urged the new Chairman to invest in catch them young programme so as to induct new members into the District.
In his remarks, chairman of the Inauguration Committee, Dr Olawale Dopemu, said the investiture marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of ICAN, as they expand their reach and deepen their impact across the nation.
“This new district is not just a testament to the growth and dynamism of our esteemed Institute, but also a clear indication of our commitment to fostering excellence, professionalism and ethical standards in the accounting profession.
“ICAN has always been at the forefront of promoting the highest standards of practice within our profession, and this new district will undoubtedly play a crucial role in advancing this mission.
“The establishment of this district will bring our services closer to our members in this region, provide more opportunities for professional development,” Dopemu said.
