CCII Ibadan Monarchs, Mogajis, Baales, Others Rejoice As Ooni Ogunwusi Celebrates 50th Birthday

IBADAN – Traditional institution in Ibadanland, Mogajis, monarchs, Baales, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), the Jagun Olubadan, Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS), and prominent sons and daughters of the ancient city, have felicitated with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on his 50th birthday.

They described the revered monarch as a unifying force among Yoruba monarchs and a champion of cultural heritage.

A statement by the Coordinator, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiatives (ICPI), Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade praised efforts of Ooni in promoting unity and development in Yorubaland.

According to the statement, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi who equally shares the same birthdate and month with Engr Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, noted that Ooni’s commitment to youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and economic development can not be overemphasized.

The statement hailed Ooni’s enduring legacy and the appreciation of his contributions to Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large, adding that Ooni’s leadership and vision for progress have earned him widespread respect and admiration.

The statement described Ooni as a symbol of unity and cultural heritage, commending his efforts in promoting Yoruba culture and tradition, both locally and internationally.
