100 Widows To Receive Support As Shokesta Development Initiative Founder Celebrates Birthday

IBADAN – No fewer than 100 widows will benefit from the generosity of Shokesta Development Initiative Founder as part of the yearly birthday celebration event.

The Founder, Amb Oluwakemi Soyebi popular known as Shokesta woman said the charitable occasion, which is set to take place on 23rd December 2024, will see the widows in Ogun State receive essential support in the form of food items and cash gifts.

Shokesta Woman added that the event is a part of the foundation’s ongoing mission to improve the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable members of the community.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after visiting Ibadan home for motherless babies, on Friday, Shokesta woman disclosed that this year’s event will focus on providing vital support to widows, ensuring they can better care for themselves and their families during the festive season.

SHOKESTA has touched the lives of over 4,000 women, children, and youth across Nigeria. The organization’s focus on entrepreneurship, creativity, and leadership has empowered individuals to overcome social challenges and break the cycle of poverty.

“Shokesta has also been instrumental in organizing visits to orphanages and supporting widows, offering both financial aid and emotional support to those struggling with life’s challenges.”

“Since 2015, Shokesta has made it a tradition to bring joy and gifts to the babies in the home during the Christmas season.”

“In 2019, Shokesta reached out to widows in Ibadan, offering them support through food, financial assistance, and emotional encouragement, helping them navigate the challenges of loss and hardship.”
