AWA Mourns Passage Of Olubadan, Oba Olakunlehin

IBADAN – A senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo Central, Alhaji Ademola Alli, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.
This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Monday in Ibadan.
Alli described the late traditional ruler as a symbol of unity, wisdom and integrity whose reign brought about peace, progress, and cultural rejuvenation in Ibadan.
He lauded Oba Olakunlehin’s passionate commitment to education, local governance and harmonious coexistence among diverse communities in Oyo State.
“His legacy endures in the many development-driven initiatives he inspired across Ibadanland.
“He was not just a traditional ruler but a guiding light whose leadership strengthened the fabric of our society,” Alli said.
The APC chieftain extended his heartfelt condolences to the Olubadan-in-Council, the royal family and the people of Ibadanland, praying for strength and comfort during this period of grief.
“On behalf of my family, campaign team, and supporters in Oyo Central Senatorial District, I offer our deepest sympathies.
“May the Almighty God grant him eternal peace and may his memory continue to inspire us all to uphold the values he cherished,” he said.
