Oyejide Adetoyese Resigns From Nigerian Youth Congress, Oyo Chapter

By OYENIYI AWOJOODU

IBADAN  –  A former member of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Oyo State chapter, Mr Oyejide Adetoyese Adeniyi, has announced his resignation from the organisation, citing personal and ethical reasons.

In a public statement issued, Mr Adeniyi formally renounced his membership of both the state chapter and the youth advisory council of the NYC.

He explained that his decision was due to an increasingly demanding schedule, which would no longer permit him to contribute meaningfully to the activities of the Congress.

“I have lots of things on my table to deal with, which means I won’t have enough time for the Congress again,” he stated.

Mr Adeniyi also expressed his disapproval of what he described as attempts to create honorary memberships within the organisation, noting that such moves could be perceived as exploitative.

He further warned that anyone who uses his name in connection with the NYC following his resignation would face legal consequences.

“Anybody that uses my name, as I have renounced my membership from NYC, will be sued and I will also sue the NYC,” he added.
