IBADAN  –  THE Presiding Bishop of Victory International Church and National Vice President (South West) of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, has on Wednesday offered words of counsel to the newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan (SAN), urging him to lead with integrity and courage.

“The new INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, must be fearless and remember that the true umpire in any election must never be biased,” the cleric advised.

“He must be accountable to God and to posterity. If he stands by what is right and remains fair in all his dealings, history will judge him kindly. My prayer for him is that he will succeed and that integrity will guide his tenure.”

Bishop Adelakun speaking ata press conference ahead of the 36th Anniversary Celebration of Rehoboth Cathedral, scheduled for October 16–19, 2025, at Wonder Hall, Rehoboth Cathedral, Wonder City, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway Ibadan, with the theme “The Glory of the Latter House.”

The four-day event, hosted by Bishop Taiwo and Pastor Dolapo Adelakun, will feature “four days of fearful praise and two mornings of appreciation,” culminating in the laying of the foundation for a 16,000-capacity mega cathedral, which the church plans to complete within a single year.

He also paid tribute to the late Rev’d Umai Ukpai , one of the founding leaders of the PFN, describing his passing as both a personal loss and a reminder of faithfulness in ministry.

“He was a fighter, a true servant of God, and a man who endured great trials.

“His homecoming will produce a thousand more voices for God in this generation.” Bishop Adelakun said.
