IBADAN   –   THE Founder of the One Love Family and Living Perfect Master, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has condemned the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, over her alleged derogatory comments against the Igbo ethnic group.

In a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, Maharaj Ji described Dabiri-Erewa’s alleged reference to Igbos as “monkeys” as reckless, divisive, and unbecoming of a public official.

He said the comments were capable of creating ethnic tension and undermining national unity, calling for her immediate dismissal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Mrs. Abike Dabiri’s ‘monkey’ statement is a political strategy not only to cause disaffection in the polity but also to destabilize the government if not checked with a sack,” Maharaj Ji said.

According to him, Dabiri-Erewa’s alleged “multi-dimensional hatred and spurious vilification” of the Igbos were highly condemnable, repugnant, and unacceptable.

“What on earth would drag Abike Dabiri to make such reckless, uncontrolled, lawless, and outrageous utterances?” he queried. “She operates more like the wife of a spiritually bankrupted and mentally degenerate actor promoting the god of the dead than as the head of an important government establishment.”

The spiritual leader maintained that no public official should be treated as a ‘sacred cow’, insisting that Dabiri-Erewa’s sack would serve as a deterrent to others who use their office to promote division and hatred.

“Nigeria’s pluralism and heterogeneity are not man-made,” he said. “We must maintain peace, harmony, unity, tolerance, and oneness — not divisiveness, hatred, or acrimony in our national life.”

Maharaj Ji further urged President Tinubu to act swiftly, stressing that Dabiri-Erewa’s alleged utterances could trigger political disorder and strain relations between the Yoruba and Igbo communities.

He recalled that a Punch Newspaper columnist, Azuka Onwuka, had earlier questioned Dabiri-Erewa’s continued stay in office following similar controversies.

“I call on Mr. President to sack her without delay,” Maharaj Ji stated emphatically. “She needs public flogging to flush out the spirit of arrogance in her. She is a first-class ingrate! We need peace and love in Nigeria, not hatred and troublemakers.”
