ABUJA – NOLLYWOOD actress Tonto Dikeh, has opened up about her emotional transformation and how she conquered the anger that once dictated her life.
In a heartfelt social media post on Saturday, the movie star reflected on her past struggles with uncontrollable rage, saying she lived for years battling inner conflicts that shaped her actions, relationships, and public image.
“I was a ticking time bomb,” she wrote. “There was a period in my life where anger controlled everything I did, how I acted and even how I loved. I didn’t recognize myself.”
Dikeh shared that her healing came through therapy, self-reflection, and most importantly, a renewed relationship with God.
According to her, she surrendered fully to Christ when the storms of life pushed her back to Him.
“I gave my life to Christ after secondary school but never truly got close to Him until life humbled me,” she revealed.
“Jesus didn’t turn His back. He embraced me and covered me with His love, forgiveness and peace.”
She encouraged people to focus less on the outward glow they see and more on the source of her transformation.
“So, if you see me so calm and glowing now, envy me not,” she added. “Rather connect to the Jesus who lit up the glow. This is why I’m now so cool, cute and happy.”
The actress, who has weathered public scandals, heartbreaks and personal battles, said letting go of bitterness and allowing God to take control saved her life.
“Letting go saved me,” she said. “Today, I choose peace. I choose growth. I choose love.”
Dikeh urged her followers to prioritize their mental health and turn to God for help, noting that healing is a continuous but rewarding journey.
“Don’t give up on yourself,” she encouraged. “Your breakthrough might just be one courageous step away.”
