One In Custody As Male Sex Worker’s Client Found Dead In Rivers Brothel

PORT HARCOURT – THE Rivers State Police Command has detained a male suspect in connection with the mysterious death of a man at a popular brothel along Azikiwe Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt.
According to reliable sources, the yet-to-be-identified suspect reportedly engaged in a heated argument and physical altercation with the deceased shortly before the incident on Sunday night, November 11, 2025.
Witnesses alleged that the altercation took place within the brothel premises, after which the victim was said to have collapsed near the facility’s sanitary lane.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.
The exact cause of the man’s death remains unclear as conflicting accounts surround the incident. Independent verification of what transpired prior to his collapse could not be obtained at press time.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command stated that the report of the incident had been received and that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Port Harcourt, for a thorough investigation.
