IBADAN — THE Oyo State Football Association has suspended Shooting Stars Sports Club’s Sporting Director, Mr. Tobi Adepoju, from all football-related activities for the remainder of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season following his conduct during a recent league fixture.
The disciplinary action stems from an incident that occurred on March 29, 2026, during Matchday 32 of the NPFL clash between Shooting Stars and Rangers International FC.
According to the statement released by FA Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adesola, said Adepoju displayed unruly behaviour during the encounter, despite having received multiple prior verbal warnings over similar conduct.
In a letter addressed to the club’s Chief Operating Officer, the association stated that Adepoju’s actions were considered unprofessional and capable of bringing the game into disrepute, thereby undermining the integrity of the sport.
As part of the sanction, the Sporting Director is barred from all Shooting Stars home matches and any other football-related engagements for the rest of the season.
The FA also warned that any failure to comply with the directive in future engagements would attract more severe disciplinary measures.
Shooting Stars have been urged to ensure strict adherence to the ruling as part of efforts to maintain discipline and uphold the professional standards of the league.
