APC Extends Sale Of Forms, Submission Deadline

ABUJA —- THE National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has approved an extension of the timelines for the sale of aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the submission of completed forms for the 2027 General Elections.
The decision to extend the timeline was taken by the NWC at its meeting held on Thursday at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Addressing journalists after the NWC meeting, the Party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, stated that the sale of forms will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026, while the submission of completed forms and accompanying documents has been extended to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Previously, the sale of forms was scheduled to run from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026, while the last day for the submission of completed forms and accompanying documents was Monday, May 4, 2026.
Hon. Meseko said the need to extend the dates became necessary because of the public holiday observed nationwide on Friday and to accommodate the high level of interest from aspirants.
Asked if only it is only the sales and submission that was shifted, Meseko said, “It remains the same. Other timelines remains the same. It is only the sales and submission of forms that have been extended. The date for the sales and submission of forms extended but other timelines remain the same. The screening will commence on Wednesday 6th May, 2026 as earlier advertised. And also subsequent programmes for the primaries.
On the allegations against some APC governors who are not releasing nomination forms for aspirants to the State Houses of Assembly, he said, “I will say categorically that it is wrong. For instance, I have friends who are contesting. And that is why we deploy our staff from the party Secretariat here to go to the various states to sell the forms for the house of assembly.
“It is not even being sold by the state chapters. It is sold by our staff in the admin department. In Lagos, I have about two or three friends that are running for the state house of assembly. They have sold to them.
“I also have friends from other states. They have already gotten. You know this is the time for unfounded rumours and fake news. The governors are not the ones in charge of the sales of the forms. So there is no way they would serve as obstacles to the procurement.”
