APC and PDP have shared federal legislative positions in Oyo.
The results of the poll revealed that APC won in eight federal constituencies in Oyo State. The winners include, Hon. Musiliu Akinremi, Ibadan North; Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/ Oyo West; Engr Aderemi Oseni – Ido/Ibarapa East; Hon. Kareem Abisodun Tajudeen; Saki East/Saki West/Atisbo; Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala, Ogbomoso North/ Ogbomoso South/ Oriire; Hon. Akin Alabi, Egbada/Ona Ara; Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede, Akinyele/Lagelu, and Lateef Olaide Muhammed, Irepo, Olorunsogo, Oorelope Federal Constituency.
Winners under the umbrella of the PDP include, Alhaji Najeem Oyedeji Oyeshina, Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa; Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola, Ogooluwa/Surulere, Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, declared winner of Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North; Hon. Stanley Olajide, who defeated Saheed Fijabi of APC to clinch Ibadan Northwest, Ibadan Southwest Federal Representative seat.
The summary of the four federal constituencies won by PDP include Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa, Ogooluwa/Surulere, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North and Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West.
The candidates of the parties mentioned above were declared as winners of the election held on Saturday by INEC returning officers of their various federal constituencies.
However, the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency and Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency are still waiting for who will be representing them at the “Green Chamber” as elections into the two federal constituencies have been declared inconclusive due to some perceived irregularities.
The results of the senatorial districts in the state clearly indicated that the APC cleared all the three senatorial districts in the state and this include Oyo South won by Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Oyo North and Dr. Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, Oyo Central.
