Akwa Ibom Police Commissioner Waheed Ayilara Dies After Surgery

UYO – The Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, has been reported dead.
According to information received by our correspondent in Uyo on Thursday, Ayilara passed away in the early hours of the day at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
A family source confirmed that the Commissioner had undergone prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, but sadly, died just hours after the procedure.
As of time of filling this report, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding his passing, and the speculation surrounding his death remains unrefuted by the command’s authorities.
