APC Mpumalanga Chairman Donates Campaign Vehicle For Oyebanji’s Re-Election, Urges Support For Tinubu

IBADAN – THE Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, Dr. Oluwatosin Ademola Ojo, has donated a campaign vehicle to support the re-election bid of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Dr. Ojo, who led members of the APC Mpumalanga executive council on a solidarity visit to Ekiti State, presented a Toyota Hummer Bus to the governor’s campaign team as part of efforts to mobilise support for Governor Oyebanji’s second-term aspiration.
Speaking during the presentation on Monday, Dr. Ojo described Governor Oyebanji as a performing leader whose administration has continued to deliver democratic dividends to the people of Ekiti State. He therefore called on residents of the state to come out en masse and vote for the governor during the forthcoming election.
As part of the visit, the delegation paid courtesy visits to several traditional rulers, including the Ajero Of Ijero-Ekiti , HRM Oba Joseph Adewole Adebayo (Arojojoye II); the Elekole Of Ikole Ekiti, HRM Oba Adewumi Ajibade Fasiku; the Oore of Otun-Ekiti , HRM Oba Adekunle Adeagbo (Ilufemiloye I); and the HRM Oba David Olusegun Aleji.
The delegation also visited the palace of the Elerinmo of Erinmo, HRM Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, before proceeding to a radio interview on YES 107.1 FM, Ibadan.
As part of efforts to promote public awareness on women’s health, renowned medical expert and public health advocate, Dr. Olanrewaju Ademola Ojo, who also featured on a scheduled live interview programme on Yes 107.1 FM, Ibadan, in the early hours of Sunday.
During the interactive session, Dr. Ojo extensively discussed cervical cancer prevention, screening, and the importance of early detection and treatment.
He emphasized that cervical cancer remains one of the most preventable forms of cancer when detected early through regular screening and timely medical intervention.
The medical practitioner urged women, particularly those within the vulnerable age bracket, to embrace routine cervical cancer screening and take advantage of available preventive measures.
He also stressed the need for increased public awareness, noting that inadequate knowledge and poor screening uptake remain major factors contributing to cervical cancer-related deaths in Nigeria.
Dr. Ojo further called on government agencies, healthcare providers, community leaders, and the media to intensify advocacy campaigns aimed at educating the public on the dangers of cervical cancer and the life-saving benefits of early diagnosis and treatment.
The radio appearance formed part of ongoing efforts to encourage preventive healthcare practices and improve health outcomes among women across Nigeria.
The visit concluded with a private visit to the headquarters of the Apostolic Church LAWNA, Ketu, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
While speaking to the Journalist; Dr. Ojo said Nigerians in the diaspora remain deeply concerned about developments in the country and are committed to supporting efforts aimed at national development.
He urged citizens to believe in better Nigeria while expressing confidence in this administration. According to him, the Federal Government is implementing policies that will ultimately improve the welfare of Nigerians and strengthen the nation’s economy.
Dr. Ojo noted that addressing longstanding national challenges requires patience and sustained commitment, adding that Nigerians should continue to support President Tinubu’s administration and his anticipated re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
