CCII, Ibadan Mogajis, ICPI, Others Commend Stakeholders For Ensuring Peace In Ibadanland

IBADAN – The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), the Mogajis and the Baales in Ibadanland has commended stakeholders in Ibadanland for their efforts towards allowing peace to reign in Ibadanland particularly when Olubadan High Chiefs were elevated to the status of Oba’s, together with all event that led to how His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin became the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The stakeholders which include but not limited to Asiwaju of Ibadanland, Chief Bode Amao, Prelate Sunday Ola Makinde, Chief Bayo Oyero, Aare of Ibadanland, Chief Makanjuola Akinola, the Jagun Olubadan, Engr. Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Babaloja General of Oyo State Alhaji Yekini Abass and all past CCII President Generals.

A statement by the President-General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), who is also the Chairman, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), Barr. Niyi Ajewole, President of Ibadan Mogaji’s, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and ICPI Coordinator, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade hailed the sense of maturity and understanding showed by the stakeholders particularly during the crisis.
The statement described recently development in Ibadan traditional institution particularly when former governor of the state and Otun Olubadan, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has agreed to join other High Chiefs to wear beaded crown as Oba as a triumph of peace and tradition in Ibadanland.
The statement commended the stakeholders in Ibadan traditional institution for their roles in ensuring a smooth transition.
The Olubadan throne, one of the most revered in Yorubaland, has been a symbol of unity and stability in Ibadanland. The peaceful succession is a testament to the enduring legacy of the throne.
The statement praised the stakeholders for their maturity and sense of responsibility as they put aside their personal interests and worked towards a common goal.
The statement said the stakeholders played a crucial role in mediating and resolving potential disputes, adding that their wisdom and leadership helped to prevent any crisis.
