CSR: SAHL Farm Reaches Out To Less Privileged, Students Of Tertiary Institutions, Others In Ibadan

As part of its efforts to ameliorate the suffering of the masses, the management of Survival Agricultural Hub Limited (SAHL) through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has reached out to many Nigerians in Ibadan metropolis, the Capital City of Oyo state.

This development according to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SAHL Farm, Oluwatobi Oduntan is part of the visions and goals of the company.

Speaking with journalists about the CSR outreach of the company on Monday, Oduntan noted that SAHL Farms is a reputable agricultural organization dedicated to provision and promotion of sustainable and healthy farm produces to African continent and the world at large.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that Oduntan further said that, “on 30th of March, 2023, myself and my team members, who are basically the staff of the organization took it upon ourselves to cater to the needs of our host community, this we did in partnership with a non-governmental organization, known as the GREAT IMPACT FOUNDATION, with the theme, “RAMADAN EGG DRIVE PROJECT.”

“The main focus of that Egg Drive Project was to give back to the society, especially people from all sectors of the state that participated in the Ramadan fasting, while some of the beneficiaries also included the Muslim students of the School of Nursing, Eleyele, Ibadan.”

“As we all aware that eggs are high source of protein, and we distributed eggs for the students so they can use it for their iftar meals, and a total of 30 crates of eggs were distributed.This unexpected gesture was met with smiles and prayers from the students.”

We also went to The Polytechnic Ibadan, where we distributed no fewer than 35 creates of eggs for students. The beneficiaries at the Polytechnic Ibadan really appreciated our gesture as they were observing Ramadan fasting while their examinations was ongoing at the same time.

“We took the EGG DRIVE PROJECT campaign to University of Ibadan, where we were able to give out 35 creates of eggs to some students as well as the executives of the Muslim Student Association of the campus. We were able to engage the executives of the muslim community of the campus. We engaged them on benefits of eating balanced diet and living healthy ”

“We also took our personal community outreach programmes to some radio stations, in Ibadan Metropolis, where we visited I-Fliers Radio and Agidigbo FM where we organized series of programmes that centered on educational workshops on healthy eating habits, with emphasis on the nutritional value of eating egg daily and how to make healthier food choices on a low budget.”

“We also do giveaway for people who answered our questions correctly, through that alone, we distributed no fewer than 100 creates of eggs for our people.”

“Our final stop, and one of our main priorities, were the less privileged on the streets of Sabo, Mokola, Akinyele, and Oja’ba areas of Ibadan. At the end, we were able to distribute no fewer than 263 creates of eggs for our people through the Egg Drive Project.” Oduntan said.

In her remarks, the Public Relations Officer/ Marketing Officer of the Farm, Okomoda Oreoluwa stressed that the community outreach/charity programme was a huge success.

She noted that the project achieved its goals of reaching out to those in need while also promoting good nutrition by making healthy and sustainable agricultural produce available to the general public, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

She said, “the bain behind the whole project, who is our Boss, Oluwatobi Oduntan has always reiterated that one of the organization’s missions is to cater for people’s well-being through the production of healthy agricultural produce. He has even promised that more efforts would be geared towards promoting community unity and charitable giving, he is of the opinion that the charity outreach is a way to show that SURVIVAL AGRICULTURAL HUB LIMITED cares about the community, and our aim is to lend a helping hand to everyone who needs it and the charity event is one among a lot of ways the company is showing it.”
