IBADAN – The Oluwo Aseyin of Iseyin, High Chief Fasola Olusoji Adeyemi has declared Monday 28th October to Sunday 3rd November as the date for the celebration of 2024 Oworin-Aseyin Week, to celebrate the divination of the ancient community.
Oworin-Aseyin Ifa festival is same as the Ose-Meji of Ibadan as the traditional divinations that created major Yoruba communities and are annually consulted to know the cause of the present, what the future holds and do appeased to find spiritual solutions to economic, spiritual and security problems among the Yorubas.
In a Press Release made available to journalists on Sunday and signed by the Chief Fasola Olusoji Adeyemi, the Isese community is prepared to make appeasements at thirty-nine different shrines, which include the Oworin-Aseyin temple in Iseyin to pray and seek better future for Nigeria, Oyo State and Iseyin land.

“Iseyin community was founded with the Odu Owonrin-Aseyin like people talk of Ose-Meji at Ibadan, so we do rituals and appeasements annually to seek the faces of our ancestors on issues the people in the country, the State and the community are facing, today, Nigerians are crying about the poor economy that has affected the purchasing power of the people, we will make that and some other issues our prayer points for the year between the 28th of October and 3rd November and we are very sure that our ancestors will not forsake us.
