Enugu LP Senator Okey Ezea Dies In London

ABUJA – SENATOR Okey Ezea (representing Enugu North Senatorial District under the platform of Labour Party is dead.
It was gathered that the Senator popularly known as Ideke died in London Tuesday.
Ezea who was his first election in 2023 to represent Nsukka Senatorial Zone reportedly died in London on Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 after a protracted illness.
An elder statesman close to him, Chief Nkem Ossai, who confirmed the news, described late Ezea as a man with a heart of gold who will be greatly missed by his constituents.
He said the news has plunged Nsukka and the entire Enugu North zone into mourning.
Also, the former Abia State Governor and Chief Whip of the 9th Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who described the news as “heartbreaking, devastating, and personally painful.”
In an emotional condolence message, Kalu said he received the news of Senator Ezea’s passing with “profound shock and deep sorrow,” noting that the loss was not just political but deeply personal.
