A former chairman, Ibarapa Central Local Government of Oyo State, Hon. Sarafadeen Olaoniye Bibiire has felicitated the Muslim faithful on the commencement of the Ramadan.
In his message on Thursday, Hon. Bibiire urged the muslim faithful to pray for Nigeria and Oyo state as they observe the ongoing Ramadan, saying it is an opportunity for the Muslim faithful to pray Allah for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,Governor Seyi Makinde and nation for His divine intervention in all the challenges facing the country.
Hon. Olaoniye Bibiire called the Ramadan observers to uphold all the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed in respect of the season, with continued love for their neighbours by giving to the needy during and beyond the season.
According to a statement signed by the politician and a business mogul made available to newsmen, every Muslim faithful was called to seize the Holy month towards renew his spiritual life.
The statement reads, “I congratulate all my Muslim brothers and sisters in Ibarapa Land,Oyo state and Nigeria at large.”
“It is important to note that Allah has granted us this opportunity to move closer to Him and make our desires known to Him.”
“I want to urge all my Muslim brothers and sisters to remember our nation, Nigeria, Oyo State and Ibarapa in our prayers for divine intervention in all the socio-economic challenges we are currently faced with.”
“Let us remember to pray for our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding to ameliorate the impact of the current socio-economic situations in our dear nation.”
“Let us remember and pray for those who have lost their lives to insecurity and other hardship and extend helping hands to their loved ones left behind.”
“This is the season for giving to the needy who are living around us so that they can eat.”
Meanwhile, the former Ibarapa Local council noted that the citizens all of the the country should remain focused, resolute and loyal in their respective capacity, urging the eligible voters across Oyo State to actively participate in the forthcoming 27th April Local government elections towards choosing its local government administrators for a due grassroots development.
“I want to implore you to also pray for our state, Oyo state especially Ibarapa, to choose a purposeful and visionary leader in the forthcoming local government elections slated for April 27, 2024″
