In Ibadan, NSCDC Officer Kills Suspected Kidnapper

An NSCDC Officer has killed a suspected Kidnapper in Ibadan.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the suspected Kidnapper has been killed by NSCDC Officer while attempting to kidnap a foreigner for ransom in Ibadan.

The development was revealed through a press statement made available to journalists in Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo state on Thursday.

A copy of the statement issued by the state public relations officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) maintained the suspected kidnappers numbered 8(eight) gained their entry to the farm to kidnap the owner of the farm who is a foreigner but have to engaged the gallant officers of the Corps in a gun battle in which one of them was shot dead and others escaped with various degree of bullet wounds.

The statement stated as thus; As part of the mandate of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) to protect life and property of the citizens and National Assets of the Country. The officers of the Corps yesterday around 1030hrs shot one suspected Kidnapper at Easy Gate Farm along Abanla Ogunmakin road Ibadan OYO State.

According to the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CC Adaralewa Michael, the suspected kidnappers numbered 8(eight) gained their entry to the farm to kidnapped the owner of the farm who is a foreigner but have to engaged the gallant officers of the Corps in a gun battle in which one of them was shot dead and others escaped with various degree of bullet wound.

It would be recalled in June 1st 2022 the suspected kidnappers visited the farm to kidnapped in which one of our officer was shot during gun battle before the reprisal attack that happened yesterday September 28th 2022.

Commandant Adaralewa however used the medium to call on the citizens of the state to join hand with all security operatives by supporting them with credible informations of happenings in their jurisdiction.

Adaralewa also call on members of the public to inform NSCDC officers or any sister security agencies  anytime they suspect anybody with bullet wound in other to arrest other members of the kidnapped gang that escaped with the bullet injuries.

“We are created to protect you, if you see something, please say something”, Adaralewa stressed.
