Just In: Insecurity, Inflation, Paris Club Refund Top Agenda, As Governors Forum Begins Meeting In Aso Rock

Nigerian Governors are currently delibrating on way forward over the insecurity state of the country among others.

Naijanewshub.com.ng gathered that Federating states chief executives, constituting the Nigerian Governors Forum are currently meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja, where issues around insecurity, inflationary trends within the Nigerian economy and controversies on Paris Club Debt Refund is expected to top deliberations.

The meeting which started around 3:30pm has most of the state governors in attendance, those spotted by our correspondent includes, governors Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Simon Lalong of Plateau, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Hope Uzodinma of Imo, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi and Gboyega Oyetola of Osun.

Also in attendance are the Deputy Governors of Kogi, Edward Onoja, Adebayo Lawal of Oyo, Moses Ekpo of Akwa Ibom, Cecilia Ezeilo of Enugu and Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo of Bayelsa.

The meeting will also deliberate on key health policies in the country, following which they will later meet with the President, Muhammadu Buhari to brief him on their resolutions and way forward.

There are however some political undertone to the meeting as most governors elected on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP are not present.
