Just In: Olubadan To Receive Senate President, Godswill Akpabio

IBADAN – THE President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, is expected to pay a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, today, Sunday, December 21, 2025.
According to information exclusively gathered by Naijanewshub Newspapers, Senator Akpabio will visit the revered monarch at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan, accompanied by members of his entourage.
The visit is said to be a goodwill and courtesy call on the Olubadan, who has continued to receive prominent personalities from across Nigeria and beyond since his ascension to the throne as the paramount ruler of Ibadanland.
Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja has, in recent times, played host to several notable dignitaries, including former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi; and the Ooni of Ife and Arole Oduduwa, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, among others.
The visit by the Senate President is expected to further underscore the growing recognition of the Olubadan’s traditional institution and its importance in national affairs.
