Maharaj Ji Demands Action From Health Minister Amid Crisis In Nigeria’s Health Sector

IBADAN – SATGURU Maharaj Ji, The Living Perfect Master, has issued a direct call for Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, to take urgent action to resolve the ongoing crisis in the country’s health sector or resign.
In a statement released on Thursday, Satguru Maharaj Ji highlighted the prolonged strike by doctors across Nigeria, noting that it has caused severe disruptions in hospitals and led to preventable deaths.
He emphasized that the Minister’s role is to prioritize the lives of citizens over political considerations.
“The Minister must rise above political sentiment and act decisively,” the statement said. “Nigerians are dying daily due to inaction. Silence and alignment with political agendas cannot continue.”
Satguru Maharaj Ji pointed to the ongoing brain drain of Nigerian medical professionals, who continue to leave for foreign countries seeking better conditions.
He then warned that recurrent strikes make it easier for other nations to recruit Nigeria’s skilled healthcare workers.
The statement also criticized the lack of transparency regarding the Ministry’s remedial plans. Satguru Maharaj Ji demanded that Professor Pate outline specific measures taken to address systemic issues in the health sector and provide a timeline for their implementation.
The spiritual leader further warned that leaders of the doctors’ associations and the Ministry of Health bear moral responsibility for lives lost during the strike.
He urged both parties to consider stepping aside if they are unable to provide effective leadership.
Satguru Maharaj Ji also drew attention to alternative health practices, noting that countries such as China, Japan, and Vietnam rely on roots and plants for preventive care. He suggested that Nigeria could integrate similar approaches to strengthen its healthcare system.
In addition, he called on President Bola Tinubu to declare a National Medical Emergency to help curb the exodus of medical personnel, restore confidence in hospitals, and protect Nigerians from external influences that undermine national health.
The statement concluded with a renewed call for decisive action: “Professor Muhammad Ali Pate must either confront the crisis with bold measures or step aside for someone who will. Nigerian lives cannot wait.”
