Makinde Immortalizes Ex-Oyo Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Renames First Technical University After Him

Governor Makinde has renamed First Technical University after Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in his efforts towards immortalizing the former governor of the state, Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi renamed First Technical University after the former governor.
Makinde announced the renaming of the First Technical University, Ibadan to Senator Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University to sustain former governor’s legacy and contributions to education development in the state.
The governor made the announcement on Friday (today) at the institution’s 2nd Convocation Ceremony held at Tech-U Library Hall, Lagos Ibadan expressway.
Ajimobi, who established the state owned first technical university in the south west in 2017 was quoted to have at the time of its inauguration said that the university will produce professionals that are technically competent and imbued with requisite entrepreneurial skills.
Aside the First technical university, governor Makinde also had last year officially renamed Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education.
This, according to Makinde, was part of his unwavering commitment towards revamping state owned tertiary institutions to make graduates from the schools competitive with other students across the world.
