Makinde’s Budget Aide Salutes Oba Ladoja On Royal Ascension

IBADAN – THE Executive Assistant to the Executive Governor of Oyo State on Budget, Economic Planning, and Finance, Hon. Abdulgafar Kolawole Bello, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Olubadan Designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his ascension to the revered throne of his forefathers.
Hon. Bello described the emergence of Oba Ladoja as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland as a moment of pride, joy, and divine fulfilment, not only for the people of Ibadan but also for the entire Oyo State.
He noted that Oba Ladoja’s ascension is a testimony to a life of honour, service, and dedication to both traditional and modern governance.
Hon. Bello commended the Olubadan-designate for his lifelong commitment to public service, which includes his time as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, and his unwavering contributions to the development of Ibadanland.
According to Hon. Bello, this new chapter is not only well deserved but also comes at a time when Ibadan needs a unifying and visionary royal figure.
While reflecting on Oba Ladoja’s journey, Hon. Bello emphasized that the former governor has always exemplified wisdom, humility, and integrity, qualities that will undoubtedly define his reign as the Olubadan. He noted that these virtues will further strengthen the traditional institution and promote peace, unity, and progress in Ibadan and Oyo State at large.
The Executive Assistant also acknowledged Governor Seyi Makinde for his support of the traditional institution and the peaceful transition process that has led to the designation of Oba Ladoja as the next Olubadan.
He noted that such harmony between the government and traditional rulers is key to sustainable development and good governance.
Hon. Bello expressed optimism that the reign of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja will usher in a new era of cultural pride, economic growth, and social stability for the people of Ibadanland. He urged all sons and daughters of the ancient city to rally around the new monarch and support his efforts toward a more prosperous and united community.
He also prayed for wisdom, strength, and long life for the Olubadan-designate, asking that his reign be marked by peace, progress, and divine guidance.
“May your reign bring about unprecedented development, harmony, and a renewed sense of identity for all indigenes and residents of Ibadan,” he said.
Hon. Bello concluded by reiterating his confidence in the leadership of Oba Ladoja and pledged his continued support and collaboration in all efforts aimed at advancing the economic and cultural heritage Ibadanland.
