Governor Seyi Makinde’s Director General of Protocol, Mr Badejo Samuel Adegboyega has admitted that his new status as elder at the house of God is a call for greater service to humanity.
Elder Badejo also noted that his spiritual call to service will no doubt boost his support for his boss, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde in actualization of his legacy.
Badejo Samuel Adegboyega who was among the newly ordained elders of the Enduring Word Church, popularly known as the Victors’ Chapel, situated at Alexander Junction, Apata, Ibadan, in his words gave thanks to God for his life.
While speaking with journalists shortly after his ordination, Elder Badejo said, “This is a spiritual calling and I feel delighted, I’m grateful to God who has made it possible for me to witness this event that is happening in the house of God.”
Badejo further said, “this is far different from worldly recognition, this is the house of God and I have been worshiping in this house of God for about 30 years now, and God has really bless us in this church, and I can say that Christianity is the way of life, and I thank God for His impact in our lives, and particularly what He has done in my life, I’m so grateful.”
While speaking on how his new status as elder in the house of God will further enhance his circular role of engagements on daily basis as the DG Protocol of Governor Makinde, Elder Badejo said, “This is the foundation of any achievements in anywhere, your spirituality determines your success at any level and I’m sure with my renewed and refreshed commitment to serving God in a greater realm, I know that I will be able to perform even more in service to humanity, especially in supporting the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde to even achieve more and also to leave behind a legacy that will surpass all other Governors in a very long time in the history of Oyo State.
In his words the Founder of the ministry, who also doubles as the most Senior Pastor of the Church, Reverend Olusegun Olaobaju called on Nigerians to put their trust in God for He’s capable of meeting their needs, especially in this economic hardship caused by the fuel subsidy removal.
Reverend Olusegun Olaobaju who is so concerned about the current economic hardship and the high cost of essential commodities in the country noted that there is no doubt that Nigerians are currently passing through difficult period since the public declaration of the fuel subsidy removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reverend Olaobaju noted that the ordination of the elders, pastors, assistant pastors, deacons and deaconess of the church, is a special event lined up as part of the activities to mark the 26th anniversary of the church.
Olaobaju further said, “We don’t need to deceive ourselves for Nigerians are truly passing through hard times, what is clear is that any man that put his trust in God, God will definitely see him through.”
The Clergyman therefore advised Nigerians to be patient and be prayerful.
He said, “My advise for Nigerians is that we should be patient and continue praying for our leaders that they do the right thing and take the right decision that will bring us out from this economy hardship.”
“At the same time Nigerians should be prayerful and look up to God for I strongly believe if they put their trust in God, He will surely meet their needs even in this hard time, I believe whoever that put his or her trust in God, God will surely meet their needs. They should be patient not to put their hands in things that are ungodly, or anything that is not right, they should watch their steps from going to the the wrong path, let’s just be patient and look up to God, He will surely meet our needs.” Olaobaju said.
While advising the newly ordainees of the church, Reverend Olaobaju said, “My charge to the newly ordained elders, pastors, deacons and deaconess is that they’re called by God. God want them to be loyal to Him and serve Him with their whole heart, God wants them to serve him sacrificially and as they do God will continue to bless them.”
“Another important thing is that they should live a life that befit an ordained servants of God everywhere they are, so that the name of God will not be blaspheme through them, rather the name of God will be glorify through them anywhere they go, they should live a life that befit an ordained servants of God.”
The newly ordained pastors of the church are Okeleke Emmanuel Uche, Onigbogi Olusegun Deborah, Ogungbade Stephen Olujide, Ilesanmi Lawrence Olanrewaju, Ilesanmi Aderonke Aina and Adeleke Benjamin Oluwafemi. While the newly ordained elders of the church are Elder Iranlade Victor Fadesayo, Elder Badejo Samuel Adegboyega, Elder Agbe Funmilayo, Elder Famusanmi Mojisola Margret, Elder Adekitan Elizabeth, Elder Jonah Olohunitare Florence, Elder Bammeke Olufunmilola Adenike, Elder Felix Ojo Oladapo and Elder Aiph Folashade Helen.
The newly ordained assistant pastors are, Alade Peter Oluwakayode, Olaoye Oludotun Omotola, Bello Yetunde Motunrayo, Kayode Oluwabukola Olufunke, Akinade Solomon Adewale, Adedeji Raphael Balogun, Adedeji Taiwo Olanike, Olakunle Folashade Racheal, Aboderin Olumuyiwa Ojo, Also Oluwafemi Ibidunni, Oyediran Fatimo Iyabo, and Chotomide Olubodun John.
The newly ordained deacons and deaconess of the church include Adedeji Joshua, Oyeniyi Bamidele Olawale, Oyelekan Adeyemi Daniel, Oyeniyi Olakanmi Philip, Adewale Samuel Oluwafemi, Sadare Babatunde Ekudayo, Gnorofin Oluwabamisoyi Kassounou, Olaoye Aduraoluwa Oluwatoyin, Ijadunola Bunmi Fasola, Salisbury Adebola Omowonuola, Kodaolu Olawuyi Deborah, Jonathan Oluwafunke Dorcas, Odetoro Odunayo Amoke, Olu-Daniel Racheal Oluwakemi, Tifase Adenike Taiwo, Felix Elizabeth Oluwadara, Okeleke Mary Ngozi, Adeleke Adenike Elizabeth, Adetona Oluwadamilola Grace, among others.
