The Oyo state commissioner of Police, CP. Adebola Hamsat and the state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Commandant Adaralewa Micheal have agreed to leverage on the existing cordial relationship between the two agencies in order to get ride of criminal elements in the state.

The duo make the pledge at the state Command Headquaters of the NSCDC Agodi, Ibadan, while Commandant Adaralewa Micheal was playing host to CP. Adebola Hamzat in his office.

CP. Adebola who was on a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the NSCDC Command Headquaters reiterated that there is need for collaborative effort between the two agencies towards combating insecurity in the state.

The 45th Commissioner of Police in the State appreciated the warm reception he received from the Command and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continue working with Civil Defence and other sister agencies in the state for positive results.

He further enjoined the two agencies to work in unison without rivalry towards enhancing adequate security of lives and property in the state.

In response, the Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Michael Adaralewa commended the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, CP Adebola Hamzat, for the trust reposed in NSCDC and assured him of the Corps’ readiness to partner with the Police Force especially in information gathering geared towards tackling insecurity in the state.

Commandant Michael Adaralewa later used the medium to admonished the citizens of the State to always furnish the two sister agencies with credible information that will help to nip crime in the bud.
