As congratulatory messages continue to pour in for Governor Seyi Makinde following his inauguration for a second term in office, the Professional Event Planners and Vendors Association of Nigeria has also sent their good wishes to the Oyo state Chief Executive.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the association in a statement co-signed by the National President, Mr. Adetunji Wonder Adekunle and General Secretary, Mrs. Titilope Eleshinla of PEPVAN described Governor Makinde’s re-election as a continuation of progress in the Pacesetter state.

The Association which is the umbrella body for event planners, decorators, event MCs as well as traditional wedding anchors known as alaga iduro and alaga ijoko urged the Governor not to rest on his oars in his quest to ensure that Oyo state remains the Pacesetter in all developmental indices.

“PEPVAN is very much grateful to the Governor Seyi Makinde administration for making the socio-economic climate of the state favourable during Omituntun 1.0. Without peace, nothing meaningful can be achieved in any society.”

“We urge our indefatigable Governor Makinde not to rest on his oars as the citizens of the state are appreciative of his hard work which is aimed at ensuring our beloved state continues to improve so as to maintain its tag of being the Pacesetter.”

The Association used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure that the state based eventpreneurs are considered for more patronage during Omituntun 2.0.

“As individuals and a professional body, we can boldly say that we experienced growth during your first term in office. However, we seek more state patronage for our Association which has always identified with the good works of the state government.”

“PEPVAN is a law abiding and supportive body that remits the required taxes to the coffers of our dear state. It will therefore be more encouraging if our members and association can be considered for more patronage by the state government.”

Praying for soundness of health and mind for Governor Makinde and his team, PEPVAN assured the government of her continued unflinching support and cooperation.
