Osun 2026 Guber Poll: Wole Oke Dump PDP

OSOGBO – A sixth termed member of House of Representative from Osun State, Hon. Oluwole Oke has announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Oke representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State in a letter dated April 16th 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman Ward 7 in Obokun, said he decided to leave the PDP after consulting with his political associates, friends, and family members.
Reliable source hinted that Oke resigned his membership over allegation that the party has become a single family affair.
The source also alleged that appointments into political offices and public service in his constituency has skewed to one area while his own area, Ijesha North marginalized in the scheme of things.
According to the source, “Wole Oke left because the party has become property of a single family, appointments skewed, and Ijesha North marginalized in the schemes of things.
“He is leaving for lack of infrastructural development in his Federal Constituency by the State government, lack of inclusiveness and transparency.
The source added that Oke resigned his membership because Governor Ademola Adeleke has pocketed the party adding that a winner takes it all attitude were being displayed.
Oke was said to have confirm the defection to newsmen and directed his supporters and loyalists to follow suit.
