Oyo state house of assembly has  suspended Olorunsogo LG Boss.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the Oyo state House of Assembly has ordered the suspension of Olorunsogo Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Oluwakemi Juliana Akanni and her vice, Badmus Mutiu Adesoji.

This is consequent upon a petition received by the house from the local government Vice Chairman, Chief of Staff, Local Government Secretary and 5 Supervisory Councilors in the area.

The allegations as contained in the petition bother on gross misconduct, denial of accurable benefits and salaries of ward Counselors among others.

The Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin while responding to the petition ordered that leader of the local government parliament, hon. Bamikunle Ezekiel Adetinji, to take over the administration of the Local Government with immediate effect.

The suspension according to the Speaker will last for two weeks during which the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters will investigate all allegations as contained in the petition and report back to the House.

In a similar development, the Ido Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo has also been suspended following a petition from the Local Government.
