Oyo state government has expressed its readiness to partner North China Construction Nigeria Limited to Rehabilitate the Asejire Water Dam.
The Chairman, Oyo Water Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, said this while
receiving a delegate of civil Engineers from North China Construction Nigeria Limited, recently in his office at the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
He explained that the developmental strides of the present administration in Oyo State under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde has turned the state into a preferred destination for both local and foreign investors.
The Chairman noted the governor has provided an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, saying that the State is ready to accommodate more investors willing to partner with the government or establish businesses in the state.
Hon Adeojo also stated that the Oyo state government has invested heavily in security, which he said has made the State attractive to investors from all over the world.
In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the China Construction Nigeria Limited, Wu Guoqi and Managing Director of the Company, Dr. Osadebe Osakwe, said that the team was on the visit to form a partnership with the Corporation in the area of rehabilitation of Asejire and Eleyele Water Supply Schemes as well as other dams scattered across the state to work for optimum capacity.
The duo hinted that the China Construction is ready to collaborate with the government in reconstruction of water reservoirs and laying of pipes to designated areas across the State.
They explained that the schemes of the Corporation would be useful for irrigation, which would in turn boost the economy of the State and generate employment.
Present at the meeting were the General Manager of the Corporation, Mr. K.W. Mustafa and the Directors of the Corporation.
