Oyo London Business Summit: OYHA Pledges Legislative Support For Makinde’s Economic Policies

The delegation of the Oyo State House of Assembly to the Global Business Summit held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London Kensington has assured Governor Seyi Makinde of the State legislature for an improved legislature-exective collaboration geared towards the actualization of better and sustainable economic policies and programs.
Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the delegation also vowed to provide necessary legislative support for Makinde to make the state the economic hub of the southwestern geopolitical zone in Nigeria while making Oyo in particular the most investment friendly state in the country.
Head of the Oyo assembly delegation to the London summit, the Speaker, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin made this disclosure on Sunday through his Special Assistant on Media, Alhaji Oyetunji Oyekunle.
The Summit was tagged ” Oyo State International Business Summit, OYSIBS 2023″.
The delegation led by the Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin comprises the Principal officers of the House, the House Committee Chairmen, other Lawmakers and some management staff of the Oyo Assembly.
The international summit which was organized by the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde hosted notable world investors and entrepreneurs on the theme “, Complete Guide to sustainable investment in Oyo State”.
Hon Adebo Ogundoyin in his message said the Oyo State House of Assembly would continue to give priority to bills and laws that will not only bring new investors to the State but will also make the state safe and conducive for businesses and investment to thrive.
He also noted the summit was in line with the vision of Governor Makinde to provide necessary infrastructure that will draw investors to the State.
He explained that the summit provided opportunity for Oyo State Government to intimate private investors and corporate leaders of the investment and economic potentials which abound in the State especially in the areas of agriculture, solid minerals among others.
“I am happy to lead the delegation of the Oyo State House of Assembly to the London Business Summit. This summit has opened a new vista in the efforts of this administration to woo investors into our dear State. It provided a platform to showcase the economic potentials of Oyo State and how would be investors could tap into them.
“Ours was a powerful delegation as all principal officers and Chairmen of various House Committees were in attendance. It was a laudable objective and a vision with a long term positive effect and benefits.
“The State House of Assembly is happy to key into this lofty idea and we are ready to make more laws that will further help in growing Oyo State economy and also making our dear State investors friendly”. Ogundoyin said.
