PDP Caucus Meeting Ongoing As Wike Seals Party National Secretariat

IBADAN – Ahead of its National Executive Congress (NEC) scheduled for Tuesday 27th, 2025, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caucus on Monday met to strategize and take position on issues.
This is even as the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) sealed off the party national headquarters over ground rent at the tune of N7 million.
While debate is ongoing over where the party will hold its NEC meeting earlier scheduled to hold at the party national secretariat that is sealed by Nyesom Wike led Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), it was gathered that the NEC meeting may like hold at party presidential campaign office (Legacy House) or Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
It was also gathered that the party will wade the big stick on Tuesday and may likely expel Wike and his loyalists, accused of anti-party activities.
Meanwhile, undeterred by allegations of political witchunt, the enforcement team of FCTA carried out it’s threat to seal off PDP headquarters on Monday.
The enforcement team stormed the opposition party’s headquarters around 2pm and sealed the entrance gates to the Secretariat with padlocks and stickers pasted at the front gate which read, “This property is now owned by FCTA, 26.5.2025.”
In attendance of the caucus meeting are; Governors of Bauchi, Plateau, Osun, Oyo, Enugu, Taraba, Zamfara and Adamawa.
Absent Governors Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa BoT Chairman, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, Prof. Jerry Gana, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, Sen. Bukola Saraki, acting PDP National Chairman, Amb. Umar Damagum and other members of National Working Committee (NWC).
