Police Safely Rescue Five Abducted Rivers Varsity Students

PORT- HARCOURT – OPERATIVES of the Rivers State Police Command has successfully rescued five students abducted by suspected cultists in Emuoha Local Government Area on Monday.
The students, Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious and London Sampson were all rescued unhurt at Rumudogo 2 Community in Emuoha Local Government Area.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer of Rivers State, Grace Iringe-Koko, the rescue operation was conducted by the Command’s Tactical Teams, in collaboration with other security agencies and with the support of the community, at around 1:00 am on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Iringe-Koko stated that the victims have since been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical examination, adding that intensive efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing cultists/abductors.
She relayed the state Commissioner of Police assurance that the perpetrators will be tracked down and made to face the full wrath of the law, urging the community and the general public to continue collaborating with the police to ensure the safety of residents.
The rescue operation followed the abduction of the students from their off-campus residence on Wednesday in Rumuche/Rumuohia community, Emuoha Local Government Area of the state.
