Protest Warning: Saka Ominiwe Cautions Nigerians•••Says Rallies Will Harm Economy Prospects

IBADAN – The National Chairman of SOS Mandate Group For Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Mobilization, who also doubles as the President of Educational Legacy College, Olodo Ibadan, Dr Saka Ominiwe Ibraheem has warned Nigerians about the August 1st planned nationwide hunger Protest.

He urged Nigerians, especially the youth to shun the protest for the sake of Nigeria’s economic prosperity.

Briefing journalists in his residence at KM Educational Legacy Bus Stop Olodo, Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State, on Sunday, Dr Saka noted that the protest will affect Nigeria’s economy.

He said, “As President of SOS Mandate Group For Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Mobilization I know what the government at the federal level is doing to address the hardship in the country, Nigerians should just give the government some times to implement all these things.”

“Mr President has been going around the world inviting investors, he’s laying the foundation for a better Nigeria, and we are part of the whole exercise.”

“What Nigerians are passing through we identified with them, everybody is passing through the same thing, nobody is exempted, the situation is just like when a woman is about to give birth to a child, during the labour it’s always painful but once she delivers the baby, she will forget about the whole pains, things will get more better and beautiful, people should be calm and wait for at least six months, after that they will be seeing the reality of the works out President is doing.”

“We are at the point of relief, we can’t start protesting now, we need to be very careful because of the state we are now, we must not rubbish the past efforts, we all have sympathy for what Nigerians are agitating for, which is good governance, but this is the President that has been working since assumption in office, he has travelled round the world to invite Investors and they’re arriving now, we must not scared them off because of this protest.

“This protest will drive our investors away, they will not want to invest in our country anymore and this people sponsoring this protest are anti-Nigeria, they don’t want good things for us, and from Nigeria as a country, they don’t mean well for us, we must not give them chance to ruined our country, the protest is Ill-timed.

“This government has been signing Memorandum of Understand here and there, I’m part of this process, I know what is coming, we must not give room to some people to sabotage the efforts of the government, our youths will be working three shifts very soon, there will be enough jobs for them, I know there are some companies that have signed MoU with the government and they arr arriving already, some of them will be arriving soon, in the next six months, Nigerians will begin to enjoy all these things that I’m saying.”

“I’m assuring Nigerians, they know me, they know my pedigree, I don’t tell lies, I’m part of all these treaties between the Federal government and the foreign investors, very soon our people will soon see the changes they desired for in our country, so I’m using this medium to urge our youths to shun the protest. I want them to shelve their swords, by shunning the protest, they should not allow bad people that don’t mean well for this country to start using them for their personal gains.” Ominiwe said.
