In a press statement dated December 15, 2025, Maharaj Ji described Trump’s warning of possible military intervention as a “wake-up call” necessitated by years of persistent insecurity, sectarian violence, and the failure to dismantle what he described as entrenched networks of terror financing.
According to him, some influential individuals operating within Nigeria’s political and social elite have allegedly continued to enable violent groups while enjoying protection within the corridors of power.
He specifically called for the arrest, investigation, and prosecution of individuals he accused of promoting or financing violent activities, naming Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi among others. Maharaj Ji stressed that no individual should be above the law where national security is concerned.
Maharaj Ji lamented that Nigeria, despite being home to the world’s largest Black population, has failed to assume its rightful position as a global force due to what he described as internal sabotage and external neo-colonial influences.
Expanding on Trump’s warning, the spiritual leader alleged that substantial sums of Western humanitarian and donor aid had been diverted to finance extremist groups, including Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). He claimed such funds were allegedly used to acquire property, arms, and logistics, further deepening insecurity, unemployment, and ethnic divisions across the country.
He also accused some Northern elites of deliberately undermining national unity for personal, ideological, or political gain.
Referencing his 1993 declaration of Nigeria as a “No War Zone,” Maharaj Ji asserted that his continued presence in Africa serves as a stabilising force against what he described as long-standing plans to destabilise the continent.
The statement included strong criticism of both Christianity and Islam, which he described as foreign belief systems imposed on Africans. He argued that these religions have weakened indigenous spiritual consciousness and advocated a return to African traditional practices, which he said are aligned with natural laws and communal harmony.
In a direct appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Maharaj Ji urged the President to prioritise national security over political sentiment and to act firmly against all forms of terrorism and banditry.
He advised President Tinubu to seek intelligence collaboration with Donald Trump and allied Western agencies to expose terrorist enclaves and financial networks, citing alleged cooperation between U.S. authorities and Nigeria during the military era as a precedent.
Maharaj Ji also proposed several domestic measures, including the reintroduction of nationwide toll gates to generate revenue, the provision of official vehicles for medical doctors to improve healthcare delivery, and comprehensive audits of property ownership and fintech companies to close loopholes used for terrorist financing.
Additionally, he called on the Sultan of Sokoto to direct followers to vacate illegally occupied lands and urged the Federal Government to scrutinise Nigeria’s representatives to the ECOWAS Parliament to ensure they have no sympathies for criminal or extremist groups.
The statement concluded with a spiritual assurance to President Tinubu, pledging metaphysical support for his leadership, while warning that Nigeria’s long-term survival, according to Maharaj Ji, would require accountability and justice for those responsible for years of violence and instability.
