Traders Cry For Help As Fire Raze Spare Part Market In Ibadan

Some affected traders at the Ibadan spare part market have called for help over fire incident that razed their shops.

Naijanewshub.com.ng gathered that no fewer than 45 shops were burnt to aches on Saturday when one of the major market in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo state, Araromi Spare Parts market gutted by fire.

The fire incident as gathered by Naijanewshub.com.ng started around 2am.

The unfortunate fire incident that left many traders in agony due to their losses running into millions of naira was confirmed by the state General Manager of Fire Service, Mr. Yemi Akinyinka.

Mr. Yemi while confirming the incident said men of the command were able to quench the fire around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

He further said, “Our men are at Araromi Market Agodi Gate since 2:30 a.m. where they are putting off the fire caused by indiscriminate refuse burning.”

“The fire was suppressed at around 5 a.m this morning, Cooling down operation is ongoing to suppress re-ignition. I’m on my way for on the spot assessment.”

“I cannot say specifically the number of shops now, you know it is an emergency. It started in the night. About 45 shops”. Yemi said.
