Tragedy As Girl Who Fatally Stabs 7-Year-Old, Kills Herself In Rivers State

PORT HARCOURT – A girl identified only as Success has allegedly stabbed a 7-year-old pupil, Alicia Olajumoke, to death before stabbing herself to death.
The ugly incident which happened
at Agip Estate, Rumueme in Port Harcourt, was reported on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, by the victim’s mother, Glory Joseph of No. 21 Okabia Street, who told police that her daughter was attacked earlier that afternoon.
According to Mrs. Joseph, the suspect, whose surname remains unknown, reportedly went to Alicia’s school around 2:00 p.m., picked her up without raising suspicion, took her to a residence within the neighborhood, where she fatally stabbed the little girl.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command SP Grace Iringe-Koko, disclosed that the suspect attacked the child, inflicting fatal stab wounds on her before stabbing herself in the throat.
Iringe-Koko further disclosed that officers who were drafted to the crime scene, documented evidence, and evacuated both victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed them dead on arrival.
According to Iringe-Koko Alicia’s body has since been deposited in the morgue for autopsy.
She added that the matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where detectives have begun a full-scale probe to uncover the motive behind the shocking acts as further updates are expected as investigations progress.
She said , “Today, 25th November 2025, one Glory Joseph, female, of No. 21 Okabia Street, Agip Estate, Rumueme, reported at the station that her daughter, Alicia Olajumoke, female, aged 7 years, was stabbed to death at about 1400 hours by one Success, female, surname yet to be known.
“She further stated that the suspect went to the school of the deceased, picked her up, took her to the house, and stabbed her to death. The suspect also inflicted a stab wound on her own throat.”
Iringe-Koko further disclosed that the little girl and her assailant were both confirmed dead at a nearby hospital where they were rushed for medical intervention.
“The scene of the crime was visited, and photographs were taken. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
“The suspect was also rushed to the same hospital and confirmed dead. The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
“The case has been transferred to the SCID. Preliminary investigation is ongoing, and further developments will be communicated.”
