3sc Calls For Support As Oyo Swan Hosts Team To Iftar

IBADAN – Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has called on fans and residents of the team to continue to believe in the players as the hope of a Continental ticket is still alive.

Club chairman, Honorable Babatunde Olaniyan made this call while speaking on the successes and challenges of the team at the Iftar event hosted by the Sports writers association of Nigeria Oyo state chapter on Friday at the NUJ press center iyaganku Ibadan.

The Chairman who agreed that results have not been coming for the team both home and away despite their preparation and state government’s support remained optimistic that the run form of the team with change come on Sunday at the Lekan Salami stadium Adamasingba when the Ibadan Landlords host Nigeria Tornadoes in the Match-day 30 fixture.

He however praised Oyo SWAN for coming up with such initiative of the breaking fast with the team and calling for open conversations surrounding the team


On his part Technical Adviser of the team, Gbenga Ogunbote revealed that the team is always opened to constructive criticism as it would make them better going into the remaining games of the season.

In their goodwill messages at the Iftar event, Mrs Romoke Ayinde who also doubles as the Patron of Oyo Swan charged the players to always manage their health while discharging their duties for the club.

Chairman Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ Oyo state council promised to call the attention of the state Governor Engineer Syi Makinde to the logistics challenges facing the team while prosecuting away games.

Earlier in his remark , the chairman Swan Oyo state chapter Ayomiku Ajibola who was represented by the Vice chairman of the association Gbenga Olugbodi said the aim of the breaking of fast was to use Ramadan season to bring sports stakeholders closer to the team also the motivate them in fighting for the Continental ticket.

Present at the Iftar include journalists from different media houses in that state,fans of 3sc, players and management of the club.
