His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife and the Arole of Oduduwa has called on Nigerians to always support the less privileged and the vulnerable people in the society.

Ooni of Ife made this call in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State at the 12th Annual Educational Support Program for Orphans and Vulnerable Children organized by the Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation.

Oba Adeyeye who was ably represented at the event by His Royal Majesty Oba Murina Adebanjo the Asoye of Ile isoye Ife kingdom encouraged well meaning Nigerians to support the less privileged and vulnerable people in the society to make it a better place for all and sundry.

Ooni in his message said, “we need to assist the less privileged and vulnerable people around us to make this society a better place for us all, I’m someone who have passion for human development and that is why I’m so concerned about this program, I have to make sure that even if I can’t make it down here physically, someone must be here to represent me and to give you my words.”

“We all must ensure that we support the less privileged and the vulnerable people around us so they can also live a better life. I’m using this opportunity to commend the founder of the Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation for his commitment towards human development. I’m joining hands with you to make sure you take this your foundation to the greater height.” Ooni said.

In his address, the founder of the Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation, Prince Leye Adefioye said, this is an annual event, this organization started 2006 but we started education support program twelve years ago, so this is the 12th Annual Educational support program to orphans and vulnerable children from our organization.”

“We actually put this in place to assist the children in needs, especially the orphans and vulnerable children, these orphans are in different categories, some of them are both orphans, which means they have no father and no mother and some of them are paternal orphans. But the vulnerable ones with challenges, those are the ones living with parents but they’re not healthy, we have passion to support them.”

“We’ve discovered that most of these children were once dropped out of school but through the help of Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation we’ve been able to take them back to school.So we are calling on good spirited Nigerians, Government to kindly look toward these children and support them to survive, with this Nigeria will have a better future.”

“So today, were here with joy for the 12th Annual Education Support Program for our 400 orphans and vulnerable children, our journey over the pass 12 years have been a testament to the power of collective goodwill and unwavering dedication. As we embark on another year of educational empowerment, let us reflect on the transformative impact we have achieve together. Each child we support represent a story of resilience, hope, and the boundless potential within. This program is not just about education, it is about providing a foundation of strength, knowledge, and skills that will empower these children to break the chains of poverty and adversity.”

“We are so here to instal in these children the belief that their circumstances do not define their destiny. We do support them with books, writing materials, uniforms, live chicken, feeds and others, but today were going to give them two live chicken each, so they can become another set of livestock agribusiness entrepreneurs.”

“To our partners, your unwavering support has been cornerstone of our success. Together we have create a platform where dreams are nurtured, and future are shaped. I extend my deepest appreciation for your continued trust and collaboration.” Prince Leye Adefioye said.

The chairman of the event, retired AIG, Sikiru Kayode Akande, supported the foundation with one hundred thousand naira and also promise one of the vulnerable students named Adebimpe Uthman, a JSS 3 student of Community High School, Wakajaye, Ibadan.

He also expressed his gratitude and satisfaction to Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation for supporting the less privileged people in the society.

Two live chicken were given to the vulnerable students to empower them, while all the beneficiaries appreciate Restanchor Total Child Parenting Foundation for always remembering them every year.

Representing the state Commissioner for women affairs and social inclusion at the event, the Director Child Welfare, Mr Gbemileke Ojerinde appreciated the founder of Restanchor foundation for the good work and imparting the life of the vulnerable children.

“I want to encourage Restanchor foundation to keep on doing their good works and ensure that they give their best to ensure these children are better citizens of oyo state and Nigeria.”

“The Oyo state ministry of women affairs and social and inclusion is passionate about the welfare of these children in oyo state particularly the vulnerable ones.” He said.
