Some suspected murderers paraded at Oyo State Police Command Headquaters Eleyele Ibadan have revealed how the killed one Wale Adefabi aged 26, dismembered his body with the intention of using him for money ritual.
The suspects, Lukman Yisa ‘m’ aged 31 and Usman Salami ‘m’ aged 26 on Tuesday were paraded alongside other 40 suspects that were arrested for their alleged Involvements in various crimes at the command Headquaters.
Speaking with journalists after they have been paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, CP. Adebowale Williams one of the suspects, Lukman Yisa confirmed that they actually killed the deceased with the intention of using parts of his body for money ritual.
Lukman said, ” the deceased was a friend to my friend Mustapha who is currently at large, and he was brought to us by him.
“Mustapha claimed to have gave him money to help him get a phone but spent his money, in a bid to revenge brought the victim to us to kill him, and we all participated in killing the victim, myself, B Jay, Mustapha, Usman participated in killing the guy, and we cut off his head and part of his body with a knife and gave it to Usman and Mustapha who actually agreed to use it for money rituals.” Lukman confessed.
Lukman said further, “we induced his tea with a sleeping pills, and we killed him after he has slept off,it all happened in Oyo town, our accomplices fled when they heard that we have been arrested by the police.
“At this point we don’t need to lie again because all the secret have been uncovered by the police.” Lukman said.
Confirming the incident, CP. Adebowale Williams said, on 31st May, 2022 the Department of State Services Ibadan upon intelligence gathering arrested and transferred to this department one Lukman Yisa ‘m’ age 31 yrs who was strongly suspected of engaging in ritual killing and selling of human parts. The suspect was also found to be in unlawful possession of flesh suspected to be human flesh.
“On the receipt of the case, the principal suspect Lukman Adekunle Yisa ‘m’ upon interrogation confessed to have murdered one Wale Adefabi ‘m’ aged 26yrs who visited him along with his girlfriend one Layelawa Simbiat ‘f’. The principal suspect further mentioned his accomplices in the murder of the deceased as Usman Salami ‘m’, Mustapha and one B.J real name yet unknown. Sequel upon these information detectives from Homicide Section of the Department swung into action and the said Usman Salami ‘m’ was apprehended and he confessed to have murdered the deceased together with the principal suspect and two others namely Mustapha and B.J and the deceased body parts was shared among themselves for ritual.”
“The Flesh of the deceased was recovered from the principal suspect and was taken to the University College Hospital (UCH) for Forensic Analysis. Investigation in this case is ongoing to apprehend other culprits who were mentioned in the murder of the deceased one Wale Adefabi ‘m’.”
CP. Williams however, stressed that the suspects will be charged to Court accordingly at the conclusion of the investigation.
He also noted that the dismembered human flesh of the victim has been embalmed at University College Hospital, Ibadan.
CP. Adebowale however promised to do his best in ensuring a save of lives and properties of residents and citizens of the state under his watch.
Adebowale in his speech said, “With God and the support of everyone, Oyo state will witness a robust policing and peaceful environment.
“I equally wish to recognize the immense contributions and professional policing principles adopted by my predecessor, AIG Ngozi Onadeko psc, fdc, who left a solid structural base for policing in the State. I wish to firmly state that under my watch, we shall improve upon this robust foundation to emplace a generally peaceful Oyo State where economic development and growth thrive.” Adebowale said.
