45-Year-Old Technician Arrested In Rivers For Allegedly Defiling 2-Year-Old Girl
PORT HARCOURT – The Rivers State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), in Port Harcourt has arrested and currently investigating a 45 years old man simply identified as Udohika for allegedly defiling a 2 year-old girl at Gada Street, Ogbumnabali, Port Harcourt.
Our correspondent learnt that the technician lured the infant into his shop near the residence of the victim, where he allegedly secretly defiled her.

It was gathered that the father of the little girl became aware of his little daughter’s situation while bathing her, as the little girl cried uncontrollably that her private part was paining her.
The father of the little girl out of curiosity inquired of his daughter what had happened to her, to his surprise, the little girl not only explained what Happ to her, but also demonstrated how the suspect allegedly touched and rob her vagina in his shop when nobody was around.
The child also took her father to identify the shop where she was defiled which is located at the front of the girl’s compound.
Irked by the development, the father of the girl whose wife died giving while giving back to the two year old, lodged a complaint at the Old GRA Police Division, promoting operatives of the Division to effect the suspect’s arrest last week Friday.
Speaking on the incident, a rights advocate, the National Coordinator of Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, Prince Wiro, urged the Police to carry out an unbiased investigation into the case.
Wiro added that should the suspect be found culpable, he should be made to face the law.

“The Police should carry out a thorough and unbiased investigation to ascertain the veracity of the claims made by the father of the child as information available suggest the suspect denied the allegation against him.
“If the suspect is found culpable in course of investigation,he should be made to face the law”.
Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirming the unfortunate incident, added that the suspect has been taken into custody.
SP Iringe-Koko stated that the suspect has been transferred to State CIID, Port Harcourt for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
