Two night guards have been reportedly shot in a gunmen attack in Owo.
Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that two security men attached to Craneburg Construction Company Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo state, have been shot by yet to be identified gunmen.
The invaders were said to have launched a dynamite which exploded during the 9:45pm attack.
Naijanewshub.com.ng gathered that the gunmen shot sporadically thereby damaging the windscreens of the vehicles and tractor parked at the construction site.
The gunmen were said to have left fled the scene as soon as the invaded the site.
Confirming the incident, the Commander of Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye told newsmen on telephone that he had visited the scene.
He said: “I am just leaving the scene now where I went to assess the situation and I realized that the two security men on ground were injured as the attackers shot into the air.
“They got the windscreen of the Caterpillar of the construction company damaged and the injured men have been receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
“By the grace of God, the situation is under control and I urge everyone to go about their normal businesses as I am on my way back to the Technical College where the newly recruited Amotekun officers are undergoing training.”
