PDP Commiserates With Governor Makinde Over Brother’s Death

ABUJA – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family is grief-stricken and deeply commiserates with the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde over the shocking news of the death of his beloved elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.

PDP, in a statement by its spokesman, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said that Oyo state and the nation has lost a rare gem.

The party said: “Indeed, our nation and particularly Oyo State have lost a rare gem. Engr. Sunday Makinde was a humble, exceptionally brilliant and highly ingenious professional; a committed patriot, who dedicated his life towards the progress and development of Oyo State and Nigeria.

“Engr. Sunday Makinde was a courageous and forthright gentleman, full of vision, realistic ideas, practical solutions and lived as a dependable pillar of support and counsellor to his brother, Governor Seyi Makinde in his service to the people of Oyo State and our dear fatherland.”

PDP lamented that “it is indeed devastating that Engr. Sunday Makinde left the stage at this trying time in the history of our nation when his skills and wealth of experience are needed the most.
